I called Wells Fargo to see what I can find out in regards to what they are doing to stop foreclosures and didn’t get much information as I had expected. However I did talk with a gentleman named Tevita that was very nice and helpful.
He mentioned that it would be best to call the number below and encourages all Wells Frago clients that are in trouble to call them toll free. He emphasizes that they do want to help and the DO NOT want to take peoples homes. The great thing was that his voice sounded 100% real and genuine. I was sold on the fact that they are doing their part by having employees that are genuine and helpful.
The toll free number to what they call “Wells Fargo Home Mortgage Borrower Counseling Department” is 866-5642. If I were you, I would ask for Tevita. Nice guy.
I will see what other information I can dig up to see what they are doing to stop foreclosure and aid in this housing crisis. I have a feeling that they will be leaders in this arena.

MOE,I THINK YOU LEFT OUT PART OF THE# ,WHAT IS THE WHOLE #? THANKS
I have the FHA Secure loan available and I am able to help clients refi their 1st out of an adjustable rate. But, this frequently requires modifying the 2nd. My client has been unsuccessful in being able to talk to anyone for help. He only knows that Amerca’s Servcing Company has his 2nd. I had to explain they only collect the payment. Please help by giving the rest of the phone number!
With much appreciation!
Sonny
American Servicing Corp – Wells Fargo will need to undergo ethics on customer service, everyone that i have spoken to are RUDE! you ask them simple questions and give you the runaround. I applied for a modification and was told i was declined because they took my net income to come out with the debt to income ratio. Why is it that when you are applying for any home loan the amount that is considered for qualification is based on your Gross income not your net, i explained that i have my medical deduction, retirement and so on…so this will be much lower than my gross, of course in a rude way they answered, this is not our problem, i asked so if i remove these voluntary deductions will this help with my percentage? well i can’t answer that either because it depends on who is reviewing your application, o’k then these means there is no standard procedure, but whatever they feel at that time to approve and reject as they will. Is anyone regulating THEM!!! procedure and percentage goes across the board, this way homeowners know what percentage they need to be at to meet criterias, a type of predatory lending, keeping the customer ignorant and not knowledgable of their rights. THIS IS A SCAM IN ITSELF, please government no more bailout money for these banks who continue with these practices, they need to get audit severly.
Moe,
On 1/30/10 I received a letter saying my home was scheduled for auction on March 9, 2010. I called Wells Fargo and asked If my loan modification was denied, which I had sent my papers in Oct. 2009. The person told me they received the papers but the file was not forwarded that I could resubmit the documents for modification again. My filed I guess was never looked at yet I have a commisioner writing me regarding auction, go figure.
I would try http://www.NACA.com also to help you with this matter. You can also call the lawyer who is handling the foreclosure for the bank and ask for help in delaying this. Most servicers will only delay a sale if you can show proof that you can pay the mortgage and are pursuing a loan modification.
I wish you the best and please dont give up!
