Now, consumers who were mislead once or twice before into these toxic adjustable rate mortgages will now have to fend off the sharks that want more blood as they come in for one last feeding. People don’t realize that most of the websites are ran by internet webmasters who make websites and build them in such a way that they will rank high for just about any keyword. They make these websites look like the real deal. Clean and professional. Like you are dealing with a “real” bank, when in fact you’re dealing with a guy in his underwear that collest you information, social security nuber etc. and then sells it to the highest bidder. I have been visiting the website where they hang out and they are in this like white on rice.
Here is a quote from a reputable mortgage broker in a forum I visit:
“The announcement of FHA Secure Plan will create a feeding frenzy for unscrupulous brokers and L/Os to advertise on the much hyped government bailout, take in lots of loans with upfront application fees and appraisal fees, etc, and either not coming thru with the approval or perform “bait and switch” tactics to steer borrowers into other loan programs that may not benefit the borrowers and could even accelerate the foreclosures. “Mr. Smith, sorry that your loan application did not pass with FHA Secure, but we do have an FHA-lookalike loan for you ….” This is what will happen as there is no shortage of unethical brokers, L/Os, and lenders in our “character-diversified” mortgage industry. Tales of sorrow and ripoffs will ensue and many innocent homeowners who are clueless will be the pawns as usual while the FHA Secure will be hyped up by various characters.”
Beware of who you deal with and what websites to trust.
Do you want to look for an approved lender. Click here to go to FHA’s search engine to find a “real” lender to work with.
For more information about FHASecure and other FHA products, please call 1-800-CALL-FHA or visit www.fha.gov or www.hud.gov. For a list of your local homeownership center or a HUD-approved housing counseling center, go to www.hud.gov/offices/hsg/sfh/hcc/hcs.cfm“
Thanks for all the phone calls and emails from everyone who has appreciated the fact that this website is for homeowners and I am here to protect and fight for you!
