How do I request a life of the loan from my bank. I believe you mentioned this on your website. I have an option arm, with Homecommings, I applied to modify, the loan, becuase i was four months late, they agreed to modify after I started paying again, they told me to pay my reqular payment for three months. At the end of the three months, they would consider a loan modification. Well now it looks like they sold the loan to Aurora Servicing? What’s up with that, any thoughts? Please help!

Hi Moe love your site! I am a realtor in Illinois and am really busy running shortsales and helping some of my clients with Mods. For those who want to charge distressed homeowners for these services in Illinois, its illegal, Check Lisa Madigans law efective January 2007-Mortgage Fraud Act. I get paid for running shortsales by the lenders if I can take them to closing. My modification cases are a labor of love–no pay–outside of knowing I helped a family. Well I should never say I don’t get paid because those families refer me to everyone and their cousin and even in this market I have constant work;)
