That is ridiculous. What kind of people would respond to an ad like that — now we know why loss mitigation specialists are they way they are. they’re actually soliciting them!

I’d like to hear what other’s think about the mortgage broker who I reported to the NYS Banking Department responding to me with an offer to “get me into another ARM” — is that unmitigating gall, stupidity or just plain greed. He also wanted me to write him a letter giving him authorization to speak to CW on my behalf. He was really adamant about that, asking me over and over again. This is a broker who did not disclose prepayment penalities, the nature of the loan, you name it. What’s in it for him? Is he that desperate for business?

He told me, “I am going to give you my time and since you’re a savy business woman, you know time means money” (In my mind I was thinking time is probably all you have on your hands now, buddy, since the slime prime loan truck stops been closed down) — what do you guys think?

What? The guy that “burned” you now wants to help you???? Is this so he doesn’t go to hell? Geez…stay away from hime with a million foot pole.

Just about every client I meet was burned by the last set of so called professionals.
At least Chase seems to be working with people to some extent. The more difficult cases are Countrywide who seem to prefer foreclosure to short sale, even when the pay off is more.
Or, OCWEN (servicing Bear Stearns and VA)that has outsourced the loss mitigation to India. How do you feel about your financial information and more American jobs going to India. How secure is your information in India?
