I worked for countrywide and was also wrongfully terminated. I had filed a complaint of discrimination which was not handled according to their own policy. The person accused admitted what I said had truly happened. They told her not to do it again and gave her a promotion over me. For the record, I am white. My manager (who was friends and would go drinking with this girl) began to make my life hell. I ended up seeing a doctor and taking meds to sleep from all the stress. My manager stated that she noticed a difference in me….becoming depressed and withdrawn were here words. My line become flooded with calls even when I was already on a call, I reported this to my manager who said not to worry about it. I was then terminated for hanging up on too many customers. Prior to making this complaint I held the top score EVERY month on my team and recieved an award the month before. I also questioned the ethics of the policies they wanted me to enforce. I felt they actually moved homeowners into foreclosure. While I am at it….check into the PMI on some of those loans. After being 3 payments behind this insurance ( that the homeowner didnt know was on the house) kicks in and pays. It wasf FLAGGED at 3 months and we were NOT ALLOWED to take a payment from the owner, if they couldnt bring it current, we didnt take a payment because it would forfiet the PMI>

I worked for countrywide for a little over a year and in 2007 they wrongfully terminated me. I was pregnant and protected under FMLA (they had the paperwork and all). They told me I could not attend my doctors appointment or it would be an occurrence. I went to the doctors appointment (because I had too) and next thing you know a week later they terminated me because of “absences.” Need less to say I was able to draw unemployment but that only lasted for so long. I don’t see how they were able to get away with that. Oh and I also tried to get a job with bank of america recently and I couldn’t because of countrywide. RIDICULOUS! It was THEIR stupid mistake.

I lived in my dream home for approximately five years and have made every attempt to refinances our loan. myself and my husband where told we did not qualify for a refin but, if we had two or more missed payments we would qualify for a mod. in any case CW offered us a mod with the payment of $400.00 a month stating they made a mistake and they could not honor the mod after their mistake and attempting to contact them about their mistake we’re informed our home is in default. We have tried to have this problem resolved for at least 7 mos or more without any assistance.I have been extremely stressed as with so many other Americans I wish someone would help so we could just get on with ourlives it has been very distrubing to say at the least I’m praying for God to send a angel who will help us all. We along with many others have deceived I ask any and everyone who reads this to pray for our Country for the word of God states If my people would seek my face and humble their selves and pray he will heal the land and we really need healing.

my husband and i got a bad loan from country wide we have tryed to find lawers in are area that will take the case no one will they lied on the loan papers i was 18 with great credit my husband was 19 with so so credit i stayed @ home with are 2 boys i was the home maker he was the worker we only brought home that year 17 thousand for a family of 4 they used his income my credit made it work the house was not fha or hud appoved made it pass windows would not open lead based paint is what the house was painted with out dated wiring fuss box wiring was from 1957 what we found out when are house about went up in flames i would be here all night telling u what all was wrong and what they did

As one familiar with the industry I have one question…

Why did anyone who is in origination and familiar with countrywide ever go to work for them? They never really had a great rep.

Country wide has a new game. Last month they offered a gap loan of sorts to catch up late payments. They insisted you make no new payments untill the paperwork is done. Now the June paymnets are late, and the harrasing calls continue through the day despite their own notes in the system stating this is waiting on the new program. They say new “fees” and “charges” will be added due to the late payments for June. I’d love to get a group together to sue them and other lenders for the multiple calls a day to collect on accounts that are actually currant. They ignore cease and disist orders difiantly.

I got terminated for farting in front of an employee. I think I was wronfully terminated cause it did not smell.

I am a formal Countrywide Employee that was wrongfully terminated. I was harrased by a manager and therefore I filed a complaint with HR, the Manager was fired and 2 days later I was given a warning for Attendance based on information this manager wrote on my file. 1 week later I took an ER Leave of absence that was approved and after returning from my leave I was terminated. Reason for termination was that I took an early lunch. Retaliation if you ask me!

The similar situation happended to me as well. After I refused to co-operate with their unethical business practice. They started retaliation, then ultimately fired me. And I want to mentioned that this happened at CHASE Home Loans. Same kind of stuff, different company. If you care enough, we can open a new book. If not, not a problem.
