Loan Modification

I am proud to announce that the Loan Safe crew will be heading to Washington D.C. this evening to assist NACA and struggling homeowners in this historic 5-day event .

Yesterday evening I had the privilege to speak with Bruce Marks, Executive Director of Neighborhood Assistance Corporation of America (NACA), as he was unloading over 300 lap tops in preparation for this huge event. He had asked Loan Safe to come to Washington to help victims of predatory lending that would be attending the event with our mortgage audit and if we could do this for free. I quickly replied, “It would be an honor to work with you and NACA. Lets do this Bruce!

A crew of five of us are taking the red eye this evening out of LAX and its game time tomorrow morning at 9am at the Hilton. If you are in the area, please stop by and say hello and I would be happy to help you in any way I can and there will be hundreds of counselors there, free of charge, to assist you with your mortgage.

THOUSANDS OF HOMEOWNERS SIGN UP FOR NACA’S “SAVE THE DREAM” EVENT AT THE CAPITAL HILTON IN WASHINGTON, DC

Goal is to demonstrate how to provide mortgage solutions: affordable mortgages and direct assistance to stop foreclosures while pressing Members of Congress, the Administration and lenders to act.

The housing crisis is at the center of America’s economic crisis. Policy proposals and new laws claiming to bring relief to at-risk homeowners are everywhere. Now, The Neighborhood Assistance Corporation of America (”NACA”) the nation’s top homeownership organization is showing how what homeowners demand—affordable mortgages and restructured loans—can be accomplished for thousands of at-risk homeowners over a few days.

“We believe in practical solutions not government bailouts and political posturing,” says NACA CEO Bruce Marks, “At the Save the Dream event we will obtain an immediate approval from many lenders to restructure loans to what homeowners can afford. NACA has established the national standard by getting lenders/servicers to reduce the interest rate to an affordable payment for thousands of owner-occupant homeowners. We will help people in need— Free. We will also challenge Congress, the Administration and Regulators to press the lenders and investors to make the mortgages permanently affordable.”

NACA has done extensive outreach to inform homeowners of this incredible opportunity. The outreach consists of a $250,000 radio ad campaign in the major media markets in D.C., Maryland, Virginia, Pennsylvania and New Jersey. Hundreds of NACA HUD certified counselors will work with homeowners to solve problems that show how the crisis must be addressed.

NACA the Neighborhood Assistance Corporation of America is sponsoring the “Save the Dream” Event, July 19th -23rd at the Capital Hilton Hotel. NACA, a non-profit advocacy and HUD certified counseling agency, will continue NACA’s mortgage restructure solution by saving thousands of homeowners from foreclosure by reducing their mortgage rates to 5% and less, cutting the mortgage payments by hundreds to thousands of dollars a month.

Never before will so many homeowners be matched with hundreds of counselors at once to achieve immediate solutions. NACA counselors will assist thousands of at-risk homeowners and provide restructure solutions that permanently reduce their interest rate to make payments affordable and obtain servicer/lender approval within hours of submission, often the same day. NACA has been successful in reducing interest rates to what homeowners can afford - often to 5% or less - setting the standard in the foreclosure prevention industry. NACA will provide permanent solutions and offer help, hope, counseling and long-term mortgage solutions – all free!

NACA’s Home Save program has set the standard in the industry for foreclosure prevention and long-term affordable solutions. It may sound too good to be true but below are a few of the thousands of at-risk homeowners NACA has restructured with major lender/servicers in the Washington D.C., Virginia and Maryland area.

About the Neighborhood Assistance Corporation of America (www.naca.com)

NACA, a national non-profit, community advocacy and homeownership organization established in 1988, has been the lead organization in the fight to identify, expose, and oppose predatory and exploitive lending practices. NACA was the first to expose Fleet Bank’s lending abuses in 1991, and followed with numerous other campaigns against companies that victimize low and moderate income people pursuing the dream of homeownership.

NACA provides the best purchase product to those who the industry considers “subprime borrowers” -requiring no down payment, no closing costs, no points, no fees, no perfect credit, at below market interest rates - currently 5.625% (30 year fixed as of 7/16/08). NACA homeowners who the lending industry considers to be “subprime” have excellent payment records and are now considered prime borrowers. NACA has $10 Billion committed to this mortgage program. With almost 40 offices across the country, NACA is providing working people with an unmatched program and a national model for doing mortgage lending the right way.

NACA has established the national model for providing homeowners at risk of foreclosure with long-term solutions through its Home Save Program. NACA has committed One Billion dollars to refinance homeowners on the best terms available and is working with some of the nation’s largest lenders to rewrite unaffordable loans based to what the borrower can afford. NACA has negotiated a legal, binding agreement with the country’s largest mortgage servicers including Countrywide Financial and Citigroup, Inc., enabling NACA to restructure their loans into long-term affordable mortgage. Many homeowners have been able to restructure their mortgages with fixed interest rates of 5% or less. Other major servicers are following the NACA pattern, establishing the NACA solution as the national standard.

News of NACA’s program and advocacy has been featured in national and local media. The Boston Globe has chosen Bruce Marks, founder and CEO of NACA, as its 2007 Bostonian of the Year. This is tremendous recognition for the effectiveness of NACA’s advocacy in leading the fight against predatory lenders, and its effectivness in providing real, affordable homeownership solutions for working people.
