I'm tired of trying to find a solution...I see that I am not alone in the housing nightmare. Trying to sell, refinance...loan modificators charging to help you...It's a shame we do not know whether we can keep our homes. Vacant homes all around selling low. Reduced our mortgages that meet our needs and money will keep flowing. Hardship doesn't last forever...Become less greedy and more needy..

H4H really needs to target mortgages for this program for homes bought from late 2005-2006, especially in CA, FL, and throughout the Northeast. I am confident to say most of the bad mortgage debt lenders and taxpayers may have take on are from homes bought at that time in those locations. These were high cost of living areas to begin with and the toxic combination of overbuilding and exotic mortgages being peddled drove prices artificially high. Homes here have lost between $100,000-$200,000+ of what their home was appraised for when they bought it. They can't short sell them, rent them out, nor can they refinance because they're underwater. NOT ALL THESE PEOPLE GOT SHODDY MORTGAGES, THEY WERE THE VICTIMS OF BAD TIMING. H4H gets values back to what they should have been.

This has been a concern of mine and the Hope for Homeowners success will hinge on lenders and mortgage servicers in working together to make the H4H work.

Unfortuantely, Wells Fargo has to be one the worst banks in the world to try and get help from. So, the answer above does not surprise me one bit.

Dont except a plan that is made to fail. Deny it and demand something you can afford long term...

Keep up the good fight!

My Lender is Wells Fargo. I contacted one of the H4H lenders who informed me that my current lender is not taking any paper who from a third party and won't even talk to them. What do I do. It has been over a year since I started this fight. My current lender just gave me a modification a few days a ago which does not help me at all. The difference between the mortgage payment which I could not afford and the modified one is the same except that I have been placed on a 30 year loan fixed. What do I do.
