Correction, we entered the agreement on 2/15, not 3/15!
I confirmed that they received the payment as well, with THEM, not just the post office.
I was told I could make the payment at my branch, but then learned that I had to mail it, had to send it special delivery to arrive on time, since 2/15 was a Holiday!
So I KNOW they got it. How can they set a sale date with a forbearance in place, after their negotiator told me it would temporarily stop the foreclosure process while in effect????

I have been trying to get a loan mod since the beginning of September. We are with Wells Fargo, only recently learned they are our servicer and sold our loan to BofA. We were not notified of this sale, no clue when it took place, WF is still our servicer. We filed all paperwork, were jacked around for 4 months, having to resubmit repeatedly and never told exactly what they needed, what was missing, were denied more than once due to lack of documentation (always docs we were not told to submit, etc). By the time they came back with an answer, our financial situation had worsened and we no longer qualified for HAMP (according to them, who knows the truth, they refuse to tell you the figure they are looking for, insinuating to me that I might lie if they told me... Sure, my 3 mos of bank statements do not back up what I tell them, I guess - of course, the way these guys do math, I can see their concern). Anyway... We were forced into taking their offer of a forbearance agreement, entered into 3/15 and going thru 5/15, however, today we received a certified letter telling us they set a sale date for 3/25! And there is nobody for us to turn to for help, we are screwed and the government is deaf to this. Where can we turn for help? This is insane. By setting a sale date we cannot even arrange a short sale, and the grace period of the forbearance was just a lie. I need legal counsel, but where do I go for that? Nothing on the GOV site points to free legal aid. These banks need to be stopped, they are taking all my tax money and using it to sell my home out from under me!

Service Us Better? How about an education for starters and integrity would be helpful. Did you know that it takes more hours of education to be a hair stylist than it does to be a mortgage broker?

My Countrywide Story:

Laid off April 2008.
Could NOT find another job in North Florida.
Found a job in New England.
Called Countrywide and asked them if they could agree to a short sale. They transferred me to the workout department. THe workout department didn't know what a short sale was and sent me back to the main number where I was disconnected.

Repeat the above 2 sentences about 10 times over 10 days and you'll see the gist of what problems I was having. Finally my real estate agent found the name of the one person at countrywide who knew what a short sale was. We then got the paperwork and got it filled out and were pre approved for a short sale.

I've been in New York for about 6 months now without my wife + kids because I can't get a place to rent because of my destroyed credit.

I may end up having to quit my job in about 3 weeks if I can't find another place to rent.
