This foreclosure mess has spiraled nearly out of control, especially since the US Senate couldn't stand up to the powerful banking lobby and adjust the bankruptcy rules to include a cramdown on mortgage principal...afterall, the banking industry practically started this problem with the risky and expensive financing products that inflated home values. Now homeowners are struggling to find a thread of hope to save their home. The current housing crisis is an experince unlike any other moment in our lives and coupling this inexperience with the nation's extremely low financial literacy rates seems to be brewing yet more problems with this country's economy...more developments as they surface.
