Oh thank heavens for this wonderful plans of Washington State Bar Association. It is very rare this time to find free legal aid such as this. Being part of the low-, middle-income homeowners facing foreclosure is really glad to see this great news.

I have been served a Foreclosure Notice on 12March2009
by the 2nd mortgagor. I am current with the primary but
the secondary is about six months old to date.I have consulted several so-called Free MOdifiers only to find out
that for legal representation requires a 3000dollar fee
which I do not have.
I don't know exactly when BB&T [2nd mortgagor] plans
to make its move but I donot want to prolong this agony.
I also will be in need of CreditCard Counseling. Though
none of the cards are behind, I don't know how much longer I can hold out, Several settlements has carried me this far and it is about to run out.
FYI the reason I am in this predicament is the result of
losing my spouse's income to Alzheimer. She is now on Medicaid and a ward of the state of Virginia.
Any assist would be deeply appreciated.

I just feel that the foreclosures across the nation are getting out of hand. My neighborhood has had several foreclosures in the past year and there lawns are now dead with weeds growing everywhere there is dirt. This does not just effect the person who lost there home but also the people in the neighborhood who are stuck next to there home.
I was under the impression that Obama's plan was suppose to help these people keep their homes. I almost feel that the bail out on the banks has made them stingier. I feel like you can not even get a loan modification on your own now. I found the best way was to find somewhere with an on staff attorney to fight the bank for you. My friend recently used Carrotpeel.com and said they did a great job for him in lowering his monthly payments.
Even though some are getting out of this mess i still feel like the banks need to be more helpful because even when a home is foreclosed the banks don't know how to turn around and sell it cause they are in the banking business not in the real estate business.
