I went to New Leaf in April, gave them all my info, and paid $3000 by personal check. I was told it would take 2 to 3 months to complete. But here it is middle Sept, and nothing. I called my lender this morning and was told that I was not eligible for a modification because I pay all my bills on time. The only way I can do this is to dip into my meager savings each month. I still hoped that I might get my money back, but after reading all these messages, I doubt that. Thanks to all of you for your posting all of your experiences. I have noted all of your suggestions. I am 77 years old, on low fixed income.

Hello everyone,

My goal with this blog is inform my fellow Americans.

I appreciate the comments and some have went a bit far with threats. The anger is understandable, but I cant have my blog used as a vehicle for potential violence. This post is not the only one like it on my blog. There are several going on and what is happening with me is I am being threatened by people in this field and at these companies. They are calling my home and cell phone. Emailing me etc.

In trying to do a public service, but in doing so I have placed my family in possible jeopardy.

From now on I will post a link and story and turn off comments because of the threats of violence that are becoming a common occurrence on this blog and on my phone.

Homeowners will have to take the information and do as they wish bvecause most likely, the money is gone. Employees will have to go to the labor board if they have issues and again, no money = no recovery.

These are sad times folks and it will only get worse before it gets better.

I want to first address that I was advised to file complaints with the Labor commission and the DA prior to Oleg filing BK . If he is to file bk anyone he owes money to can appear at the hearing and contest his bk filing and offer proof that he has money. I find it hard to believe he can file bk when he has so much capital. hiding in Shawna’s account as well as his fathers. He is also Rubens Investor at New Life Processing, Joey’s Investor at the credit consolidation company, and Shawna’s investor over at Crush Clothing (or whatever they are calling these companies now). Bottom line is that he has the money, he is just trying to get out of it without having to pay us all out.

I was one of Olegs gullible sales agents who honestly thought that he was a good and honorable man. I am usually a very judge of character and I am very humiliated that I represented such a company. I have been in the mortgage industry for a very long time and every client I have ever worked with knew what they were getting themselves into. I was very honest with everyone and did my work with a pure conscious. When the market crashed and Modification came around I thought it was so awesome that homeowners that received bad mortgage loans from bad people had a way out. I loved my job because I was able to give clients hope that did not have any left. I was their last option to staying in their home. Clients would poor their hearts out to me. Oleg had me so convinced that I was doing the right thing and that we were saving homes everyday and that we were getting unbelievably low rates approved and saving clients hundreds of dollars a month. I actually believed him. He swore to us that since we had John Latini on staff as our attorney and due to the fact we collected fees for the processing of the paperwork for loan modification we did NOT have to be licensed with the DRE. So I originated new clients everyday thinking I was making a difference. I am so embarrassed I was such a fool.

The day the DRE came in and served several of us out on the floor I was shocked. I did not know what to say or what to do. Management stated that we should “get back to what we do best” and “work as usual”. Once I read what the document said, I gathered my things and left. It stated we had to cease working on ALL files. That included talking to existing clients and working on files as well as new origination of files. Per the DRE I did not have any contact with my clients until now. There was nothing I could say or do to fix what was/is happening. I was embarrassed that I submitted your files to such a company. By abiding by DRE orders several, not all my clients were leaving me very disturbing messages . They were wishing I die, that my children be taken from me, death on my children, wishing the worst to happen to me, calling me terrible names, etc. I understand I was the first point of contact . But where have we come as human beings to wish such terrible things to happen to another human being? Several years ago I lost my home to foreclosure due to an adjustable rate mortgage and a divorce. I did not blame the lender or the broker that did my loan. The bottom line is that I signed for a loan that I knew was risky. I was in a business that was crashing and I was not making the money I used to. It was a hard pill to accept but losing my home was only my fault, no one elses. I begged and pleaded with First Franklin to help me, but they did not. They took my home and threw me and my kids out. That was the lowest point in my life. The ONLY thing that got me through was the love and devotion I have for my children. I had to realize that my house was just a material item. But it was my children that I loved and needed.

Oleg owes me a lot of money too. He went as far as writing me a bad check that caused my account to be negative. My bank told me if I did not put the money back in my account in 30 days that they would close my account and report me to check systems so I could not get another bank account for 7 years. I had cashed my check to pay my rent and put food on the table for my children. Oleg promised to make it right, so far he has not and will not email, text, or even call me back.

After everything Oleg has done to me and my family, I do not hate him or wish harm on him like a lot of people out there do. I believe that whoever your higher power is will grant forgiveness if you had pure intentions during your walk of life. Those who did not will not be as lucky. Oleg will have to answer for all his actions in his lifetime. I am a firm believer that everything happens for a reason and it is beyond our understanding but it always makes us stronger. We may not see it now, but there is light at the end of the tunnel. I wish everyone the love and faith it will take to make it through this.

I was told by the labor commissioner that if Oleg files Bk then once we all receive the court hearing information by mail then we are to appear in court and contest his filing Bk. This goes to ANYONE he owes money to wither it be employees or clients. I find it hard to believe he can file BK when he still is the investor of New Life Modifications/Processing, the credit consolidation company, and now Crush Clothing. I was told by a attorney that if we file with the DA, Labor Board, and or with the credit card company, BEFORE he files BK that he CANNOT file on that debt.
I want to address clients in telling them that a good number of the Sales Agents at New Leaf had very pure intentions on helping you all save your homes and lower your payments. Oleg, had us snowballed too. We were told that modifications were being approved everyday at unbelievably low rates and we were saving homes on a daily basis. He was very convincing that we were doing the right thing and that we were one of the “good guys”. He also had us all convinced that since John Latini was our attorney on staff and because we were collecting fees for the processing of the paperwork, we DID NOT need to be licensed with the DRE.
I honestly thought for the longest time that Oleg had pure intentions and that he was a honorable man. I am usually a pretty good judge of character, but he fooled me along with the rest of the world.
I had no idea what was going on behind the scenes at New Leaf. I am a single mom and would go in and keep my head down to the grind, then I would go be with my family. Therefore, I did not get caught up in all the drama. I try to raise my children to be good honorable people and to make a difference in society. Once I saw that the DRE came in and served us with a cease and desist, I was out of there and did not return. Per the order I DID NOT have contact with my clients and I DID NOT originate new business. Yes, there were still agents going in and still calling customers, working on deals, and submitting files. Some people think they are “”above the law”.
I admit as a sales agent I was HUMILIATED and did not know what to say to my clients. I was so embarrassed that I trusted a company and represented a company that was capable of this. I could not find the words until now. I want every client out there to know how very sorry I am. I know these are just words and there is nothing I can truly say that will make you believe me. But I have been in your exact position years ago. I too lost my home due to an adjustable rate mortgage and I would NOT wish that on anyone. That is why I thought the Modification business was so great.
That was a very LOW point in my life and the ONLY thing that got me through it was the love I had for my children.
Because I did not know how to address this situation with all my clients, I began getting irate and vulgar calls from clients threatening to kill me, wishing me harm, wishing my children dead, calling me names, etc, It got to a point where I had to cancel my line and reopen a new one. Nothing I could have said would fix this. I could not get refunds for my clients. Oleg could not even pay his payroll much less for hundreds of refunds. Clients have to understand that the Sales Agents were only doing what they were told to do, we did NOT see this coming.
Yes, there are SOME sales agents who were straight up lying and misleading the client, however there were some great agents who were honestly thinking they were making a difference in society and helping those homeowners who took out bad loans on their homes. NO ONE deserves to be told that someone wishes there family dead, what kind of person could say that to another human being?
Like everyone else Oleg has caused financial hardship on me too. He gave me a paycheck that I used to pay my rent and it bounced my account which caused me to be negative. He kept telling me he was going to make it right and never did. Now he will not answer my calls, emails, or text messages.
The bottom line is that one day we all will be held accountable for what we did in our lifetime. Those who did what they did out of the pureness of the hearts will be forgiven, however those who did not will not be as lucky. I do not wish harm to Oleg or his family, there is a higher power that he will have to answer to one day.
Again, I apologize from the bottom of my heart and wish you all enough love and faith in your families to make it though this. We may not see it at the moment, but there is a light at the end of the tunnel.

Oleg did not file bk…on the contrary, he’s started up the loan mods under different name in Stockton. If anyone from DRE is investigating, they are not doing a good job…

All who feel that they were scammed by Newleaf modifications should contact KCRA Channel 3 problem solvers as they are building a case agains’t Newleaf and urging the DA to seek criminal charges. Hopefully we all can get our hard earned money back!
