It looks like the Federal Loan Modification Center/ Fed Mod may be back in business under a new name in Irvine, California. I received the tips via comments left on this blog and other forums on the internet.
Devastated by these CROOKS August 5, 2009 at 8:55 pm [edit]
After the FEDMOD doors were SHUT. Many of the employees HAVE NOT BEEN PAID!! Bill Anz manipulated his way into ANOTHER LOCATION: One Technology Drive Irvine CA. New phone #1- 888-768-8050. His new partners: Scott Carl,John Trinh. Guess what? They still bounce checks and steal from anyone they can. They are HABITUAL CHECK BOUNCERS, and laugh their way to the bank ON EVERYONE ELSES MISERY! Contact the BBB, FTC, and Heck why not their OWN DOORSTEPS!
These creeps were just busted a couple months ago by the FTC and California AG! FTC Sues FedMod AKA Federal Loan Modification Center After Taking Millions From Homeowners
Federal Loan Modification Law Center (FedMod). FedMod markets mortgage loan modification and foreclosure relief services to homeowners who are in financial distress, delinquent on their mortgages, or in danger of losing their homes to foreclosure. According to the FTC’s complaint, FedMod charges consumers from $1,000 to $3,000 in fees for these services, much of which must be paid up-front, but fails in numerous instances to obtain the promised loan modifications. In radio advertisements, the FTC alleges, FedMod induces homeowners to call its toll-free number by misrepresenting that it is part of or affiliated with the federal government, although it is not.
This doesnt surprise me because this is how the owners of these sham companies operate. They don’t have real life skills, so they scam for a living. BoazMinitzer, Nabile Anz, and Jeffrey Broughton were in the mortgage and tax industries before getting into loan modifications. They were able to make millions and escape legal authorities during the mortgage and housing boom.
Managing partner of Fed Mod and California Attorney, Nabile Anz had co-owned Mortgage Link, a California subprime lender, now defunct, that once sold $30 million in loans a month. It looks like the California State Bar has taken action on Nabile Anz, but he is still active and allowed to pratice law.

Hopefully this tip is valid and legal authorities can put a stop to these guys once and for all.

The State Bar of Calif. hides all consumer complaints from the public as “personnel matters.” Attorneys can have hundreds of complaints against them but the public will never learn about it from the State Bar of Calif. ..
Sort of like used car salesmen regulating used car salesmen.

I was screwed by flm law center for 3000 bucks.I have been trying to get my money back for 8 months.Does anyone have some advise for me.
Mike, Good luck getting your money back! Bill Anz was just disbarred (owner of FLM) for illegal pratices. He and his colleages are a bunch of losers and they should throw all their asses in jail and liquidate all their assets to pay the people back that they stole from! They are all millionaires from stealing from the ordinary laymen.
