The Green Credit Solutions mystery continues as the loan modification rumors continue to fly around online around this shady Orange County, California company.
Are they still in business? Have they changed their name? Did the owners take off to Mexico? Can I get my money back? Why haven’t they been shut down?
So many questions and still no real answers……….
Homeowner: So frustrating August 15, 2009 at 8:32 am
We, too, signed up with Green Credit Solutions in December of ‘08 and foolishly paid $3495 upfront. I contacted Larry B who did seem to get a few phone calls made but now there is silence (again). I have written him twice requesting a refund but no answer. Finally yesterday we get a phone call from someone from “Guardian Credit Services” who says they will now be taking over our Green Credit account.
When we pressed for answers, the person “Ryan Johnson” said through broken English that he was just the messenger and did not know anything about our particular situation. When we told him we were trying to get a refund he again repeated he does not know any particulars, he is just calling clients to tell them about the switch.
Homeowner: I made a house payment last month, however not every lender will take “some kind of payment”. We are behind based on making the $3495 payment to green credit. It was a decision we made since we had no other options at the time.
I also have been in contact with my lender and they have not heard anything from GC since July 7th, they were asking for a fax number, information you would think they would have. At present time they have not received anything from GC.
Greencreditcustomer, you must be one of the lucky few who have been able to communicate with GC and I sincerely hope they come through for you. Based on what I have received from the BBB, the FTC and have heard from the California Attorney General, there are seriously more of us out there that are being screwed by this company, whatever they call themselves today.
Industry Insider: In regards to Steve at MFI Miami, he totally lost credibility when he wrote the story taking Green Credit off the 20 worst modification companies list, and quoted erroneous information as the reason for doing so. Both Martin Andelman of Mandelman Matters and Steve at MFI would serve the public much better by writing columns that gave borrowers self-help advice and useful information rather than steering borrowers to modification firms.
Are they there to help borrowers or act as shills for the modification industry?
I find it ironic that the CA DRE filed a D & R Order and Accusation shortly after MFI took GCS off the 20 worst mod company list.
- Returning to the issue at hand, why did GCS take down their websites?
- What is up with all the name changes?
- Why does their new website conceal their identity?
- What license are they operating under? Have they resolved their numerous issues with the CA DRE (which are much more substantial in the DRE Accusation than the D & R Order)
- Why did they hold themselves out as a “law center” when they are not in fact, a registered legal corporation?
- Why are they doing unlicensed debt pro-ration and credit repair?
- Why won’t they answer specific questions regarding compliance issues that a few of us have asked specifically on this board?
But here is an even more important question:
- If GCS closes, what happens to the current borrowers with modifications in process?
- Even more important is what happens to the investors who may have participated in Green Credit Capital’s investment offerings?
- Will the investors be impacted?
- Also, why was Erickson’s prior employment with Accredited and certain lawsuits (which Erickson was named as a Director of Accredited) withheld from investors?
Again: Caveat emptor!
Industry Insider: You would have to start with the owners, Chris Fox , Curt Melone, James Hardy and Neil Whiteley-Ross. Nefarious characters to say the least. Long histories of taking peoples money.
Good spin men though…they can tell a story. How many times will they be able to change the company names to protect the guilty? The only positive comments below and elsewhere are from those whom they owe money to or are currently employed in one of their schemes.
Run Forest ,Run…

getmycreditgrade.com and Guardian Credit Services are the new names of the new company and its parts I believe. 27121 Towne Centre Dr Ste 200 Foothil Ranch, CA 92610 is the new address. What name will be next???

This is very frustrating. I had been working with Green Credit Solutions, or should i say “Guardian Credit Services for over one year. Ive had no help from them what so ever… when i was trying to get my home mortgage modified they told me the process would take 4 months the most, it was at the 8th month, when i started taking matters into my own hands… I called the bank and tried to get some information, they told me Green Credit solutions didnt call, didnt follow up nor send any of the documents needed to do the modification(in other words, they didnt do anything). They just take about $3,500 of your money and then avoid talking to you, they dont answer calls, dont give accurate information on whats going on, and to make things even worse, ive found out that it is much easier, less expensive and fast to get the bank to modify the loans ourselves. The only thing green credit solutions does is call the bank. if that… do we really need to pay that much money for someone else to make calls?? i dont think so… I strongly suggest everyone who is working with them to ask for a refund and do it yourselves, because they are not doing anything for you! If you are thinking on working with them in the future, then stop because you will be $3,500 short and the only thing you’ll get is a LOT of problems…
I’d also like to say… it seems that Green credit Solutions is not operating in the US, but somewhere in Mexico or India or something like that. I also talked to that “Ryan Johnson” guy and i couldn’t understand what he was trying to say. This makes me even more uncomfortable with the company.
James Hardy is a pig, a user and a piece of crap. He owes a lot of people a lot of money. He is Super Sorry about loosing your money….boo, hoo. Neil Whitely-Ross is the same. Mike Rutherford, glad you like the new Mercedes all the people who are loosing there homes bought you. These guys took the money and screwed a lot of people that are now loosing their homes. James is probably just sad he wasn’t able to scam more money outta people before the DRE caught him.
If you do not know, Green Credit is no longer in business and it’s no question why. They were purchased by Guardian Creit Services and make sure you NEVER use this company. Once I fell for the bait & switch, the incompetance had just begun. They could not even get my phone number correct. After many phone calls & threats of firing them, they flat out LIED TO ME. By that time in the loan mod process, I had to continue or loose 6 months of time & 1/3 of the fee. There is more. Just remember, NEVER use this company!!!!
These guys are nothing but scam artists. Turn them into the Attorney General ASAP.
