I fricken knew this would happen and I failed to blog this prediction on my blog last week. But better late than never and maybe I can help you avoid getting scammed by what appears to be the new loan modification snake oil of choice for the remaining mortgage brokers (AKA cockbrokers) that are still very much in the business of saving homeowners so they can pay their bills.
Welcome to the new world of selling Loan Modification Do it Yourself Kits and $97 Loan Modification E-Books. Just last week, many of these same companies were selling $3,000-$5,000 a pop loan modifications, but the California Attorney General, FTC and DRE has placed the fear of jail in many of these chumps homeowner scamming business plans.
So naturally, the evolution of the cockbroker has moved into a new stage called the kits and kaboodles stage. The new hands off, non-counseling approach that they think will keep them out of legal trouble and jail. I think the Attorney General and the FTC can find a way to deal with this new $97 a pop crimes.
Many of these new books are actually stolen content from my blogs, forums, free-ebook and my attorney loan modification training manual. They are thieves that have basically regurgitated my hard work into their own profits and now they are selling it to homeowners.
Please homeowners, do not fall for this new loan modification BS when you can get free help from non-profits and a free do it yourself kit from me. I have been offering my free loan modification book called “Saving the Dream” for the last 6 months and I will continue to do so in order to help my fellow struggling and suffering Americans.
If you would like a free book that is not $97 and with no strings attached, please fill out the form below and it will be emailed to you within seconds. Please feel free to share this with your friends and family so they too can avoid being scammed.
I wish you the best in your fight to save your home!

1st-Trust.Net has been projecting the demise of the so called “free and low cost” modification service for some time now. Although I am grateful for Moe’s free book, I am one of the early subscribers that differ with his view. There is no such thing as free in this life, what you get for free may end up costing you ten of thousands of dollars over the life of your mortgage. I have invested the last 20 years in developing negotiation skills and awareness around some of the most complex contracts and still do not know everything. That is why you build a team!
The loan modification process is neither simple or easy, that does not mean you cannot accomplish this task yourself. Many have and also many are defaulting.
Those that have decided to be in the loan modification business for the long term have made a substantial commitment to the mortgage industry in time and resources.
The initial intake meeting could take upwards of three hours, scanning the clients documents depending on your system could take as little as a few minutes or even hours to get all of the files straight. Understanding the true numbers is at a minimum two to three hours if you had all of the information available. This could be spread out over days or weeks depending on the organization of the borrower. Certain files must be kept up to date in order for the lender or servicer to consider the modification and finalize a decision.
The investment in systems and people is substantial to manage this operation and lastly the analysis and modification proposal could truly take a few weeks to assemble depending on each situation. Each modification is unique as a persons finger print. I do not believe you will receive this best modification possible without a true analysis of your situation. This is not a free venture for anyone involved and done incorrectly could end up costing 10 pounds of flesh.
My guidance is to seek professional advise, know who you are doing business with and understand how they will deliver on their commitment to you and your family.
