Wells Fargo Executive Vice President Mary Coffin, with the home mortgage servicing division, acknowledged that customer service for Phoenix-area customers wasn’t up to par.
“During the past few months, we know there have been instances where it’s been unfortunate… where we haven’t appropriately communicated at a time when they’re anxious and they’re going through a very difficult time in their life,” said Mary Coffin, executive vice president of Wells Fargo, home mortgage servicing division. “We want to change that… and get this taken care of and provide the service they deserve.”
It is to bad that you only handle modifications. Try getting a new loan from Wells Fargo mortgage. My wife and I are attempting to buy a condo in San Diego. We were told by wf rep. Susan Stewart that 15% down would be ok. We gave the seller $38,000.00 in good faith money to hold the unit. We have been waiting for almost three months for wf to approve or deny us and as of today have not heard anything. We have given them over $2300.00 in rate lock in and by down fees and we even decided to go for a cheaper smaller unit in order to quallify. Since this all begain Susan Stewart has left wf with a nervous breakdown. We were told that the loan was approved and it was not we have jumped through every hoop that they have given us and still we wait.
We feel like they don’t care and are treating us like second class people. Wells Fargo mortgage has put us through ” HELL” For almost three months. We sold our old house and are now without a place to live.
We have been wf customers for over 30 years with two prior home mortgages with them. You are right they don’t care.
