As I have stated many times before, if you are operating an illegal loan modifiction company, you will eventually get busted. If you are still in business, you are playing Russian Roulette. The HEAT that is on this industry is unbelievable and if you think that you are going to continue flying below the legal authorities radar, you are an IDIOT!
Detectives on Friday raided a a home loan modification business accused of defrauding dozens of families.
Deputies said they found forged rental deeds and by noon Friday took reports from about 40 alleged victims. Investigators believe Your Dreams Come True Inc., also known as Safe Haven or Proteccion Familiar, targeted the Spanish-speaking community.
The victims said they’re still losing their homes and nothing was happening, according to Sgt. Dana McCants the sheriff’s Commercial Crimes Bureau – Fraud Detail.
The facts are that many of these ex-mortgage brokers have no real life business or true sales skills. All they understand is selling legal subprime snake oil that they sold for years based on lies and deceit. They seem to think that times are the same and they can continue preying on Main Street. Hell, these creeps did it for years legally and now that the banks have cut their snakeoil mortgage supply from the street, these street level dealers have nothing left to prey on Main Street except crack or loan modifications.
Some choose crack, some go to work at McDonald’s, but many have chosen to sell loan modifications. Looks like loan modifications were the wrong choice for this pathetic firm.
