Brown to Unveil Whistleblower Case Against Bank for Massive Fraud Against CalPERS and CalSTRS
Oakland – At a news conference on Tuesday at 10:00 a.m., Attorney General Edmund G. Brown Jr. will unveil a lawsuit against a major institutional bank for committing massive fraud against California’s two largest pension funds, CalPERS and CalSTRS.
The lawsuit seeks to recover nearly $200 million in illegal overcharges and penalties.
