Cook has started making sense of things as part of a growing movement of nearly 80 homeowners in Marin and Sonoma counties facing foreclosure and fighting back.
United under the guise of “Don’t Get Mad, Get Even,” the group has met weekly for the past few months in the San Rafael office of its overseer, nonprofit Marin Family Action.
On Saturday, the group was the focus of a daylong musical benefit called “Marinstock” at Hamilton Amphitheater in Novato. Organizers were hoping to raise awareness as well as funding for legal fees, moving costs and other financial obligations.
