Are honest loan modification companies being unfairly targeted?

Earlier this year, legislation was passed creating strict regulations for loan modification companies in Nevada. The hope was that the new rules would weed out the companies which have been scamming homeowners.  

But are the rules penalizing honest companies?     

News 3’s Dan Ball spoke with a loan modification company owner who says he’s been trying to follow all the rules. William Vinson owns and operates Alexander Cherie Ltd., a loan modification company here in the valley.

Loan Modification companies are being targeted because the Attorney General knows that the Banks do not intend to create true Loan Modifications. So, how in the world does playing money up front for services which can not be delivered on, be in the best interest of any State’s consumers? Ger Rid of the Toxic Loans, get approved for an Short Sale, find a company like ours which offers Nevada and Arizona, FREE services which will allow you to stay after the short sale. I think there is a better alternative to short sale. We can tell you at the beginning if you have all the prerequisites to qualify for a loan modifications.

It is not true in every case that the result of loan modification can be predicted. I would say 90% is around correct.

I have read an article that out of 700 thousands cases only 10 % have been approved. Obama must do something about to improve this terrible situation.
