The California Department of Real Estate has issued an order to “desist and refrain” to the operators of K.N.C. Financiera Inc., a Bakersfield company that was marketing loan modification services even though its leaders did not have real estate licenses, according to the state.
The two principals of the company “at no time” have been licensed by the state “in any capacity,” said Tom Pool, the department’s assistant commissioner.
Ricardo Melgoza of Bakersfield and Jorge Zepeda of Fresno ran K.N.C., which the Better Business Bureau of Central California rated an F on a scale of A+ to F.

My husband left me last month after realizing our 8 year old house and finances were sinking fast. I am on ssi/disability and make additional $700/mo working as a psych nurse. He should be giving me alimony after the divorce is final in 6 mos. My house morgage is
$300, and the equity line (we were forced to get to get my Autistic son in private care) is $125, A 4.99%fixed on the 1st, 4.56%on the second a variable. I have the modification package from HSBC the lender who just purchased our 1st a few months ago…it took months to get the package..so far I have the hardship letter written, but with my husband and I in the process of the divorce…the rest I am stuck on. I don’t know if I should make my $2160. 1st payment this mo. Or the$401. on the equity with Wells Fargo. I am broke to the bone…..
but I will use my medicine and food money if I have to..I have not been late yet, credit score is only 635. I can’t see me making this mos payment. I’m sure if they could lower my monthly payment…I could stay, and eventually get back on my feet. I am smart and creative. Just got deathly ill…and now in a place I never would have imagined. I went to a NACA workshop,but have not contacted them…waiting to see if they were the right place to be. Any suggestions?
