One year ago I got the notification in the mail about the govenment doing the loan modifications. I was in the middle of a divorce and the house was in my name, so I knew I would either have to foreclose or get some type of modification done, so I contacted Best Interest Loan. Went through the process and yes paid them 1,200.00. It has been one year and I am still in the loan modification process. I have faxed bank statements and payroll stubs at least 6 times.I was told three weeks ago that it had fianally been sent to Bank America. I have inquired many time about the length of time it has taken, only to get a smart comment that "there are a lot of modifications going on" I am not able to pay my high mortagage payment and so I have a very high over due balance. Including late fees, and everything they stick on there to make life complicated. I want to advise anyone NOT to use Best Interest Mortgage. They took my 1200.00 and I still have NO relief!!
