Hope Now Says Mortgage Modifications on the Rise

This year through October, mortgage servicers have provided 2.65 million modifications and repayment plans to homeowners, according to Hope Now. There have been 650,000 trial modifications implemented through the government’s program, but only about 1,700 permanent modifications as of early September, the latest figures made public.

Treasury officials say they prefer to see homeowners helped through the government program because it is focused on reducing monthly mortgage payments. Other mortgage modifications may tack on late fees or other costs, adding to the overall debt burden and even raising monthly payments for homeowners.

yeeeeouch!! thought I smelled a RAT tonight when I spoke to the evil ones, the only want all your docs and blah blah blah every time you call they give you a different song and dance.. This is the old evil Chase at work, oh yeah, the same bank that took me from a fixed Credit card for life at 2% then change it to 8.5 and I called them and they were obnoxious and said I had a chance to opt out but I didn’t of which I never had received a notice, so I told them so. They turned me over to a voicemail saying they are nice to me but I am so rude that I am never allowed to call them again or speak to them by phone. So I didn’t pay that bill!!! Then the rate is now 30%!!! Whoa. Only one late pay and that is what they do?
Face it guys, never go near these banksters, they are truly going to try to destroy the American people, don’t let them, stop paying all your bills and destroy them first. Who cares about FICO, enough is enough. Take your Country back!!!

Could some one help me with any Govt agency’s contact, to whom I can complain about my Loan modification which is being continously being dragged with out any apparent reason.
They are just purposely delaying the whole process since April of 2009. I really want some one from the administration to know about this and atleast point us to complain to some one.
This is very painful, hoping that you would be able to save your home if the payment is reduced by a couple of hundred dollors. The Bank is Wamu, which is now becoome JP Morgan Chase.
