Miami-Dade Police Prosecute Mortgage Fraudsters

Today, Miami is one of the few places in the nation where people who want to report mortgage fraud have a local office equipped to investigate their complaint.

The Miami-Dade Police Department has two dozen officers devoted full time to chasing mortgage fraud. The vast majority of Florida’s police departments and sheriff’s offices have few detectives even trained to investigate such cases.
