According to a news release, Nehrig, working as a foreclosure attorney for Citifinancial, submitted inflated bids to his employer and arranged for friends and families to buy the properties for a few thousand dollars more than the minimum bid requested by Citifinancial. Nehrig was arrested following an FBI investigation.
Citifinancial lost $66,000 as a result of Nehrig’s actions. The company has been paid through an insurance claim.
According to the terms of Nehrig’s plea, he will perform eight hours of community service per month for the next three years and pay a $2,500 fine. Barker also ordered Nehrig to give full disclosure of his felony conviction to any future employer. He lost his law license in 2007.

Brian Nehrig is a piker! He only skimmed $60K total over several deals. If he were here in California he could skim $250K for EACH deal, have higher volume, and still be a piker compared to the big operators.
