Real Estate Loan Negotiation Services Fails to Help Homeowners

The couple contacted Real Estate Loan Negotiation Services in Jacksonville, Fla., to redo their loan. They say they were told that their 10 percent interest rate on their $97,000 mortgage could be reduced to 4.5 percent.

The Jenkinses signed up and paid $1,000. They say they were assured that the fee would be reimbursed if the loan modification didn’t go through.

They say they were told to immediately stop making their mortgage payments or they would interfere with the modification.

As the process dragged out more than 13 months, the couple became nervous.

In November of 2008 I contacted Bank of America Mortgage Company regarding my home loan, I was starting to fall behind for numerous reasons that I won’t get into at this point. I was told that I could get help
and that I would be contacted by somebody who could help me with my loan to prevent foreclosure and get me back on the right track and that my home would not go into foreclosure. Over the next couple of months I did not received any communication from Bank of America so I would keep calling to see what my status was ?
I was always told I will have analyst call you back. I would never received a phone call back or any communication from the bank, So I would keep calling and was told somebody would call me back. This process repeated itself over the next 8 months, Then in August I spoke with Alim Harris with whom semi keep in touch with me but keep telling me that he could not help and would make sure that I would be contacted by a analyst ( I lost track of how many times he would tell that it was not for lack of my trying to get help and that bank of America was failing on its end). I would keep asking him if my home was going to go to foreclosure and he would tell me no, that as long as I was staying in touch and was attempting to get a loan modification I would be ok. So finally sometime in August I was put in touch with a man named Dillon who said he could help me and would get the ball rolling on my loan, At this point I was starting to get worried about foreclosure and told him
to at least set me up on some type of forbearance program so that my home would not go into foreclosure and once that was done then maybe I would be able get the loan modification, and once again I told him my main concern was to keep my home out of foreclosure because once that process started that would be no way for me to catch up and have all the additional cost of foreclosure fees. Once again I was reassured that the would not happen. Dillon told me he would work out the figures and get back to me in the next couple of day with a plan to get me back on the right track. Three days later I have not heard from him so I start calling and once again was told he would call me back. You must understand that calling bank of America is a nightmare you must stay on hold for 1-2 hours before actually getting to speak to anyone and then when finally get a person on the phone they can’t help you they can only take a message, and if you ask any information they give you wrong information. (In the past 15 months I have well over 400 documented calls to Bank of America) So after repeated phone call to the bank I am finally told that Dillon quit and nobody has been assigned to take over his accounts and that I would be contacted by another analyst once his accounts were reassigned. Once again I hear nothing from bank of America I keep calling Alim Harris and he keeps telling me he will get me in touch with somebody who can help me again no contact from bank of America, then finally one day Alim tells me he is going to help and to get all my financial documents to him and he will work on the modification himself…So once again I fax them in, he tells me he hasn’t received them send them again (this process repeated its self numerous times because every time you call customer service they tell you to fax the papers in) So in the mean time once again I tell him my concern about foreclosure and he reassures me this will not happen as along as I am waiting for a loan modification and that he has good news that there is actually a better loan modification program that I would qualify for now than what I was offered before. So starting feel a little bit better about my loan and looking forward to finally getting some help, Once again I don’t hear back from him so I start calling again This time he tells me he is transitioning to a new post ion and he won’t be able to help me but he would make sure I was getting help.
Now I am getting worried again so I tell him that I have finally been able to catch up on some the bills that were keeping me from making my payments and that I had a enough money to send in payments He tells go ahead, (BUT WHAT HE FAILED TO TELL ME WAS I WAS ALREADY IN FORECLOSURE)

AND ONCE AGAIN NOBODY IS RETURNING MY CALLS, THIS LETTER DOES NOT EVEN BEGIN TO TELL MY NIGHTMERE WITH BANK OF AMERICA

YES I DO TAKE RESPONBILITY FOR SOME OF THIS MESS, BUT I BELIEVED THAT IF I COULD OF GOT THE HELP I ASKED FOR MONTHS AGO I WOULD NOT HAVE TO TAKE DRASTIC STEPS TO TRY AND SAVE MY HOME
