If it’s too good to be true – it probably is.
That was the message from Mayor Bloomberg and other officials Thursday as they kicked off a national campaign in the Bronx to combat mortgage fraud.
City residents facing foreclosure have been beset by con artists promising low-interest loan restructuring and other easy outs from a mountain of debt.
From now until March 31, an animated Times Square billboard will promote the campaign, along with free counseling and services for those facing foreclosure.
