The Foderas thought a loan modification company called Choice National Loan Consulting in Gilbert would offer hope.
Vito said Choice claimed they would work with the bank to reduce the family’s mortgage payment by at least 10% — guaranteed.
“If they couldn’t get that, then they’d give us a full refund,” said John Webster.
Webster and his wife own a home in Gilbert. They also went with Choice because of the refund offer.
The Websters and Foderas each paid $3,500 upfront. But, they said they got empty assurances as deadlines were missed.
