One lesson they learned from the Florida Attorney General’s Office is that there is no need to pay up-front fees for a loan modification. Another message that came out during the forum at Florida International University: Banks are part of the problem, and need to be a part of the solution.
“Miami-Dade is ground zero of the housing crisis,” said Trish Conners, associate deputy attorney general. “There are people here in many stages of foreclosure, and they can get somewhat help from the banks.”
Rosita Silverman said she came to see if she could learn more about her application for a loan modification.

Please explain if Florida Law Prohibits Advance Fees for Loan Modification Services (Foreclosure Rescue Fraud Prevention Act, Fla. Stat. § 501.1377), why are the scam firms advertising services for a fee. This leads the consumer to believe that their practices are legal.

IS THIS MAN USING THE COMPANY NAME “U.S. MORTGAGE RELIEF ” PHONE # 1-772-237-5945 ??
As I was sitting here at the library and was printing this information off the computer I asked GOD to show me a sign as if I and my husband were doing the right thing. And praise GOD, here I am I was going to leave the library and go send John Bailey $300.
Anyways, end of the story. We will work with our mortgage company.
By the way the phone number I have for John Bailey is a magic jack phone number and the number is 772-236-8681
Well, rosanna you are not the only one that he fooled. I talked to him and believed him and did send the 300. I will never get it back but i have learned my lesson. He will pay down the road for doing this to people. He will be caught. His phone no was magic jack, 772-236-8681
I neglected to do prior research on this man (John A Bailey) using US Mortgage Relief, as the org. he is with and also lost $300.00. Is there anyone we can contact to investigate him and stop his fraudulent practices? I got same ph. no. as above. Can we report him to the attorney general? I’m going to and encourage everyone else he has duped to do the same. If anyone has figured out how to find him or has a gov’t. agency working with them to try to recoup their money, please let me know. I would be very grateful. I am now losing my house.
