Arizona Man Sues Bank for $100 Million Over Loan Modification Nightmare

PHOENIX — An Arizona man has filed a $100 million lawsuit against Bank of America.

Joel Williams of Lake Havasu claims he fell behind on his mortgage and was promised a loan modification.

The lawsuit accuses Bank of America of fraud and misrepresentation.

“I was not only under the impression they were going to give me a loan modification, they had made those claims not only to me, but to a HUD-approved counselor,” Williams said.
