The Senior Law Project will hold a seminar on the program today in Reno and Saturday May 20 to inform struggling homeowners about the process. The class will start today at 4:00 PM and also on Saturday from 9:00 AM-Noon at the Reno Senior Center at 1155 E. 9th Street. There is no cost for the seminars and you are encouraged to bring your mortgage statement and a simple budget. For more details please call 775 -328-2656.
Please be aware that court mediation is not free. There is a fee of $400, that is to be split between the homeowner and the lender. Each will have to pay $200 prior to the mediation hearings.
