Jason Vitulano, a former branch manager for Top Dot Mortgage in Boca Raton, has been sentenced to more than five years in prison on charges that he and others committed mail and wire fraud by submitting false mortgage applications to Washington Mutual and other lenders. Vitulano previously had plead guilty to 12 counts against him.
After he left Top Dot, Vitulano founded FHA All Day Inc., a mortgage modification firm, and was connected with several similar South Florida modification operations. His involvement with those companies was not part of the Top Dot case.
