BALTIMORE -(Source: WBALTV) – Rep. Elijah Cummings was in Baltimore on Tuesday to tout the success of the Emergency Mortgage Assistance Program, which is facing cuts as lawmakers on Capital Hill try and balance the budget.Cummings said 3 million people nationwide have had their homes foreclosed upon so far in 2011, according to 11 News reporter Lowell Melser.
“I’m begging people, if you think you might qualify for it, take advantage of it,” Cummings said of the program.
