Loss Mitigation Phone Numbers

This is the most complete list of lender loss mitigation contact information on the internet. It is sorted in alphabetical order. If you have some information on your lender or different contact info that I am not privy too or I have a wrong number or web address then please let me know so we can all help each other. The first step to stop foreclosure is to contact your lender and try and obtain a reasonable loan workout or repayment plan. The quicker you get the ball rolling, the better chance you have of striking a deal with your lender, so you can save your home and your credit Please start making calls, get educated and have all your ducks in a row. The hardest call is the first. It only gets easier after that.

More than 50% of foreclosures would be avoided if people contacted their lender. So be proactive and aggressively pursue all options you have because you do have quite a few tools you can utilize to mitigate as much loss to you, your credit and your family. If your are short on time and you cannot do it on your own, then please seek help from a Non-Profit HUD approved Housing Counselor, an attorney or a legit for profit that can handle the calls and paperwork for you.
Time is ticking and it goes by fast when you’re behind the infamous 8 ball. As Nike would say, “Just Do It!”

This post will be a work in progress and I plan to make it the most complete FREE list on the internet. Please feel free to post this on your website or blog but you must have a link with the anchor text stop foreclosure. Just email me and let me know where it will be on your website.

  1. Michael King says:

I am writing you on behalf of an Escondido, California woman who presently has a variable rate first loan with Countrywide, and a second with Key Bank.

She has successfully avoided foreclosure, but has filed a chapter 7 BK, now discharged. Prior to the dismissal, her BK attorney had issued her a statement, allowing her mortgage lender(s) to enter into discussions with her on doing an internal refi.

She is paying negative interest, and is very concerned that she will lose control, unless she obtains a low interest fixed rate loan, which she feels her income may qualify her for.

Can you or another of your colleagues, whom you may recommend, help her renegotiate with Countrywide? We know the gov’t is urging lenders to assist borrowers keep their homes, and some lenders, we hear, are even reducing principals, so this is obviously a good time to at least try to reason with lenders. Please advise.

    Thank you

Our loan is with America’s Servicing Company. Do you have any contact information for their loss mitigation department? They seem to be a very difficult company to deal with and not very willing to work with homeowners on doing loan modifications!

We have been trying to get a loss mitigation with US bank. We have used a forclosure specialist, sent the bank all the information they asked for severeal differnt times, even sent partial payments which the bank sent back. Our home now has a sale date, what do we do now? loan amount@ $67,000, monthy @ $500.

    Thank You.

  14. twilight milligan says:

We also have our loan through US Bank. We are only 2 months behind, yet we are already receiving foreclosure threats, stating that we could loose our home if we haven’t contacted them and corrected our status by the end of this month. We have both been trying several times a day to get through on the 800# Loan Counseling line, with no luck. Every time it says due to heavy call volumes call can’t be serviced, and hangs up, with no option of holding. I have filed out the default “contact us” email box online, with no response. I filed a BBB complain last week. Today I sent a “random” package to the overnight department with a hardship letter and information about our loan. Tomorrow I am emailing letters to the President & CEO of US Bank Home Mortgage, the CEO of US Bancorp, and the CFO of US Bank. If you have any suggestions of anything else that I can do or anyone else I should contact, they would be *greatly* appreciated. Thanks so much!!

  15. momrulz says:

I too cannot get through to US Bank, I got a letter threatening to contact them or I will go into forclosure. I got through to loan mitation, by pressing random numbers until I got on hold to speak, after a wait of 15 min I spoke to a person who wanted 2200 dollars to set up repayment plan, when I wasn’t able to provide that on the spot she transferred me to the loan counseling line so I could enter my financial data, which tells you due to high volume of calls you can’t be helped and hangs up. I say this isn’t acceptable, but I am in no position to complain when I could lose my home.
Any suggestions? I am single mom, who is struggling after a good record of making my payments since 2004.

  18. Kristin says:

I was wondering if the bank could be held accountable for “miscalculating” our taxes. We bought our home in 2007 and had an escrow account, this made our payment $1303 a month. In July of this year we got a letter stating that our current escrow payments weren’t enough to cover the costs and our new payment would be 1532 a month. Our taxes did not increase, I checked. How can this be legal. Our first payment was manageable, since the new payment we have fallen behind. I put in for a modification and after calling for 3 1/2 mths excessively was told oh yeah you have to be 3 months behind, sorry. We are now 2 mths behind and considering a short sale, but I would like to keep our home. Thanks Bank of America for ruining my first home buying experience.

  19. Sandra Bennett says:

    Hello,
I would like to get some help with my loan modification efforts with GMAC I recently got a 5% rate because I refinance and buy down the rate, last year April 2009. With a $2,129.00 a month mortgage payment in Brooklyn, NY
GMAC gave me the modification for 6 months, which will expire next month (February, 2010) Now GMAC send me a letter saying I am 2 months behind since I am in GMAC modification trail period, I am already receiving foreclosure threats, stating that I could loose my home or short sale, if I don’t contacted them and corrected my status by the end of this month. I have been trying several times a day to get through on the 800# with no luck. I am constantly on hold for extreamly long period. For the 2nd time, I sent a package to GMAC Mitigation dept overnight with a hardship letter, my most recent pay stubs, copies of my utility and personal bills and information about my loan. If you have any suggestions of anything else that I can do or anyone else I should contact, that would be *greatly* appreciated. Thanks so much!!

  22. Karla says:

We spent 6 months working with Wells Fargo only to be told that they merely SERVICE the loan and Bank of America holds the loan. Wells Fargo told us B of A would not help us with modification. We know we meet the criteria and have spoken to an attorney. We sent a certified letter (Qualified Written Request) to confirm B of A was lender. The response from Wells Fargo insisted we need to go through the whole process with THEM again, since they service the loan. Is this true? Shouldn’t we be negotiating with Bank of America?

  23. KENDRALL THOMAS says:

PHH mortgage or loss mitigation department I’ve been trying to contact you’ll for the last 4 months to only get leave a message and someone will call you in 24 hrs and 24 hrs has been 4 months, no call back so I did learn my loan was being review but at the same time the attorney for this company wrote me saying I was facing foreclosure and in July I’m calling because I’m gettiing more letters from attorney and no response from the loss mitigation dept and on July 19 they sold my property back to PHH mortgage who will not answer my calls, or they tranfer me to reo who will not answer just have to leave a message, when I did speak to a George Hurbert, he inform me that this in not the first time this has happen to a person, it happen to often and they were about to have a meeting that day after he got off with me, I have his direct #856-917-8279 or the reo dept 26193. … no calls from no one, so I just wonder what to do from this stand point if no one will return my calls

I am going through the same situation my best advice is to log all your conversations .In the month of July I had 3 different representatives helping also no phone calls returned .Check to see if your state has a mediation law . The bank has to sit with you and the state but you only have 30 days.
